It is true what they say...you forget how hard it really is to cope on the limited sleep you get with a newborn in the house. And, despite my best intentions to get on the ball and start scheduling sessions, packing for the big move and taking one month pictures (I can't believe my baby is already a month old!), all I can do is sit on my couch and snuggle sleepily with this sweet little girl while the big kids run circles around us. I promise this is the week when I will get on the ball and make things happen, but today I am just going to love this happy sleepy life of mine!

This baby boy has had a rough start at life over the past few months

but he has been a trooper and his parents are inspiring in every way!
If you spent even 3 minutes with them you would know one thing for sure...
they love having their baby boy happy at home!

He is such a sweet little guy...

surrounded by little reminders of people who love him...

the gamut - salt lake city family photographer

The weather decided not to cooperate with us for the mothers day sessions, but my fabulous brother-in-law and his wonderful family braved the gamut of elements to get these pictures. Pretty crazy that 30 minutes on a spring morning in Salt Lake can bring sunshine, clouds, hail, rain, wind, and freezing cold!

Love these three so so much!

even though the little tyke wasn't a fan of the hail or the cold!

Because the weather decided to be obnoxious,

I will be rescheduling a couple of make-up sessions (after mother's day),

Hi! I am Jen Tate and I am so excited to welcome you to the

I have been a picture fanatic forever.

I love that I can look at a picture and transport right back to that

place and time and remember it all!

And when I became a mom, I realized that I no longer just loved pictures,

I needed them!

Baby stages, childhood and life all fly by so quickly,

and I just didn't want to forget a single second

(if you are a parent I bet you can relate, unless you have teenagers.

But even then, I bet you wish they were still little...haha, I'm kidding, mostly)!

Well, I decided if I was going to take all these gazillions of pictures,

I wanted them to be AMAZING.

Because, well, I am kind of a perfectionist! 

So I learned how to REALLY take pictures

...

and now I have a permanent growth on my face that has a striking resemblance to a camera!

I am all about fun and capturing the adventure of life just as it is,
